Are Your Digital Buddies Friendly?

We sure do use the word friend very loosely these days. What is truly a friend?
According to Webster:
a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically exclusive of sexual or family relations.
• a person who acts as a supporter of a cause, organization, or country by giving financial or other help join the Friends of Guilford Free Library.
• a person who is not an enemy or who is on the same side she was unsure whether he was friend or foe.
It doesn't seem like Webster knows what a friend is either. It's one of those words we use a lot like "love" and "hero." The best way to know if you've got a friend is to let it be known you are in trouble of some kind and see who comes to your rescue. That's a friend.

Are You Savvy With Online Services?

I am far from it. I think I have some kind of hang up with following instructions from a robotic source that has no feeling and care less of what I am all about. I come from a profession that is full of sensitivity and relating to people was my biggest point. I could almost evaluate a person over the phone and I felt they could do the same with me. That sense of feel will never be captured by any of these systems as we know them today.
