Are Conference Calls Workable For You?

When I talk to anyone, I like to look into their eyes. Eyes are very important for they tell you a lot about the listener. It seems this Skype stuff is the closes thing to a real time conversation. I've never experience it though.
In order for me to feel comfortable in a conference call conversation, I depend heavily on the tone of people's voices. It usually paints the picture of their eyes as they talk. Until technology solves my hang-ups,
I will have to be more trusting toward voices and forget about the eyes for a while.

Has The Hi-Definition Technology Improved Things For You?

I remembered my first job while I was in high school working at Clem's Shoe Store in Memphis, TN and how Mr. Clem would always tell me to use a lot of adjectives when selling shoes. Make the shoes look better than they really are was his motto. That immediately taught me that the world could project some untrue without us even knowing it.
Hi-Definition is just the latest interpretation of Mr. Clem's motto.

How Faceless Do You Feel?

According to an FTC website:
Fraud alerts can help prevent an identity thief from opening any more accounts in your name. Contact the toll-free fraud number of any of the three consumer reporting companies to place a fraud alert on your credit report. You only need to contact one of the three companies to place an alert. The company you call is required to contact the other two, which will place an alert on their versions of your report, too. If you do not receive a confirmation from a company, you should contact that company directly to place a fraud alert.

Do You Question Your Memory?

I have been experiencing memory problems lately and the different events prompted me to draw up today's panel. The first thing that crosses my mind is that dreaded disease but I can't remember the name of it. I have been involved in a lot of stuff lately and having to maintain so much information is probably the cause of my "loss of memories".
It's time for an upgrade.

How Do You Handle Foul Text Messages?

At this point, I don't actually text. The closest thing to it is the instant messaging and that can be fun. My practice on how I take on rude behaviors in real time stands the same in the tech world. I would immediately discipline the sender without any hesitation. What one person call vulgar may not be so to another so there is a fine line on how to approach this.
To me foul words are foul words. Filter preferences helps out a lot to prevent experiencing these uncomfortable moments. To bad we can't mute inappropriate text messages yet.

Do You Give In To Unrealistic Websites?

Whenever I sit down in front of my computer I make sure my blinders are on. If I don't, I will be swaying all over the place browsing here and browsing there and before you know it you are in places you should not be. Places like where Irma is in today's Compu-toon. This behavior mimics how life is. If you are not sure where you are going and you do not have any goals or directions, you will start dabbing into a lot of things and end up in the wrong place.
The key point to all this is to make sure your blinders fit well. You don't want any temptation leaking in.

Where Do You Get Your First Source Of Information?

I am still a person of substance. I need to have the raw form in my hand instead of the source being presented to me by way of some kind of electronic means. Although I appreciate what is going on with how we communicate and how we are being communicated to, there is an empty void if I cannot have the original source in my hand. I do not care to be wireless...put it in my hands.
